Why it matters

Federal purchase cards carried $39.4 billion across about 82 million transactions in fiscal 2025, according to the General Services Administration, and the card networks record each purchase’s merchant, category and amount. GSA publishes totals. We ask Congress to require agencies to publish the transactions themselves.
